It is with great joy and deep respect that we extend our sincerest congratulations to Prime Minister Mark Carney and his new cabinet. The formation of this government marks a decisive turning point for Canada and paves the way for initiatives that bring progress and inclusion.
We particularly wish to salute Marjorie Michel, Minister of Health, as well as Mandy Gull-Masty, Minister of Indigenous Services, and the other ministers whose responsibilities relate to the values and mission of the Coalition of Francophone Black People of Ontario (CNFO). Your commitment and leadership will be essential to strengthening the representation of Francophone Black people in minority settings and to promoting a fairer and more inclusive society.
We also wish to congratulate Stephanie McLean, Secretary of State for Seniors, whose role is crucial to ensuring the well-being of our seniors, as well as Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture, who will help showcase the diversity and cultural richness of our country. Our congratulations also go to Lena Meltege Diab, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, whose work is essential to fostering the integration of newcomers, and to Eleanor Olszewski, Minister of Emergency Management and Community Resilience, who will play a decisive role in protecting communities and their economic development, particularly in the Prairies.
The CNFO, as the unifying organization of Ontario's Francophone Black communities, works for the collaboration, development and sustainability of our community. We are convinced that your work in government will contribute to policies and programs that foster the development of Francophone Black people, offering them greater opportunities in education, employment, culture and social justice.
We hope this mandate will be marked by fruitful collaboration between the government and community stakeholders, in order to build a future where every citizen, whatever their origin, can fully thrive and contribute to the richness of our country.
